The Yellow Fever vaccine is a highly effective, safe vaccine that provides lifelong protection against yellow fever, a serious and sometimes fatal viral disease transmitted by infected mosquitoes. Yellow fever is found in tropical regions of Africa and Central and South America. Many countries require proof of yellow fever vaccination for entry, particularly if you're arriving from a country where yellow fever is present. The vaccine should ideally be given at least 10 days before travel to allow your body to develop immunity.
